Detects the presence of [target] in [sample]. Provides veterinarians with a rapid and reliable diagnostic method
Representative Advantages
- Quickly and accurately detect viruses.
Giardia Antigen Test Kits provide healthcare professionals and pet caregivers with a rapid and accurate method for detecting Giardia antigens, ensuring timely diagnosis and effective management of Giardia infections in dogs and cats.
Detection Principle:
This test card utilizes the principle of the double antibody sandwich method. The target analyte in the sample binds to the colloidal gold-labeled antibody, forming a complex that moves upward via chromatography. When the complex passes the test line (T line), it is captured by another pre-coated antibody, forming a visible colored band. Regardless of whether the target analyte is present in the sample, the unbound colloidal gold-labeled antibody continues to move upward to the control line (C line) and binds with the pre-coated antibody, forming a colored band. The appearance of the C line indicates that the test process is valid.

Sample Collection and Processing:
- Eye Conjunctiva/Nasal Cavity/Saliva Swab: Gently swab the dog's eye conjunctiva, nasal cavity, or collect saliva using the provided sterile cotton swab. Immediately immerse the swab into the test tube containing the sample buffer.
- Urine: Collect fresh urine using a clean container and draw it with a dropper.
- Serum/Plasma: Collect venous blood by conventional methods and separate serum or plasma.
- Thoroughly mix the collected samples (swab soaking solution, urine, serum/plasma).
Detection Steps:
- Remove the test card from the sealed bag and place it horizontally on a clean, flat surface.
- Using the provided dropper, draw the processed sample supernatant and add 3-4 drops (approximately 100μL) vertically to the sample well (S) of the test card.
- Start the timer and read the results within 5-10 minutes. Results are invalid after 15 minutes.
Result Interpretation:
- Positive (+): Both the control line (C) and the test line (T) show purple-red bands.
- Negative (-): Only the control line (C) shows a purple-red band.
- Invalid: The control line (C) does not appear, or only the test line (T) appears. A new test card should be used for retesting.
